FULL-FUNCTION CONTROL

Full Function Control

SEAT HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT:
To raise, pull up on lever A and lift your weight. Release lever at desired height.
To lower, remain seated and pull up on lever A. Release lever at desired height.

BACK HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT:
Turn knob B counterclockwise to release back post. Slide back up or down to desired position. Lock by turning knob B clockwise.

BACK AND SEAT TILT ANGLE ADJUSTMENTS:
The seat and the back may be locked at any angle within the tilt range or they may be released to follow the movement of the body.
To lock the seat in place – lift lever D, position the seat as desired and push the lever down. To leave the seat in an unlocked or free float position, do not push the lever down.
To lock the back in place – lift lever C, position the back as desired and push the lever down. To leave the back in unlocked or free float position, do not push the lever down.
The seat and back will move as one unit when lever D is raised.

TILT TENSION ADJUSTMENT:
Turn tension hand wheel F clockwise to increase tilt tension. Turn counterclockwise to decrease tension.

NOTE: After adjusting the seat tilt, you may have to readjust the back tilt.

FORWARD TILT:
Flip lever E down and rearward. With D in the up position, seat will tilt forward. Push lever D down. Seat can be locked in a forward tilt. To resume operation with a non-forward tilt, tilt seat rearward, flip lever E down and forward to lock seat out of forward tilt mode.

SEAT HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT:
To raise, pull up on lever A and lift your weight. Release lever at desired height.
To lower, remain seated and pull up on lever A. Release lever at desired height.

BACK HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT – INTERIOR RATCHET:
Back height adjustment can be made by placing both hands beneath back cushion B and raising cushion to desired height with ratchet action. Release back and it will lock into place. Raising back cushion to top position will allow cushion to release back to lowest position. This allows the process to begin again.

BACK AND SEAT TILT ANGLE ADJUSTMENTS:

To lock the seat in place – lift lever D, position the seat as desired and push the lever down. To leave the seat in an unlocked or free float position, do not push the lever down.

Turn tension hand wheel F clockwise to increase tilt tension. Turn counterclockwise to decrease tension.

NOTE: After adjusting the seat tilt, you may have to readjust the back tilt.

FORWARD TILT:
Flip lever E down and rearward. With D in the up position, seat will tilt forward. Push lever D down. Seat can be locked in a forward tilt. To resume operation with a non-forward tilt, tilt seat rearward, flip lever E down and forward to lock seat out of forward tilt mode.

KNEE TILT FUNCTION:
Models 328, 338, 348, 358, 1017, 1027, 1047, 1057
Seat height, back height & back and seat tilt adjustments are as above. There is no forward tilt lever. The seat has an automatic 3-degree forward tilt





SWIVEL-TILT

Models: 226, 236, 246, 256, 229, 249, 259, 426, 429, 436, 439, 1126, 1136, 1146, 1156, 626, 646

Swivel-Tilt Control

SEAT HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT:
To raise, pull up on lever A and lift your weight, release lever at desired height.
To lower, remain seated and pull up on lever A. Release at desired height.

SEAT DEPTH ADJUSTMENT:
Turn hand wheel B counterclockwise to loosen. Slide back to desired position. Turn hand wheel clockwise to tighten.

TILT TENSION ADJUSTMENT:
Turn tension hand wheel C clockwise to increase tilt tension. Turn counterclockwise to decrease tension.

TILT LOCK ADJUSTMENT:
Pull lever A out to unlock seat tilt. Push lever A in to lock chair in upright working position. This adjustment should be made while leaning forward in the chair.





DRIFTER – Sliding Seats

Models: 414, 424, 434, 444, 454, 426, 429, 436, 439, 446, 449, 456, 459, 415, 425, 435, 445, 455, 4015, 4025, 4055, 4715, 4725, 4735, 4745, 4755, 4775

Drifter Control

Seat slide will allow adjustment of seat forward or rearward while seated in the chair. The adjustment range is approximately 2 ¾" with six adjustment lock positions.
The seat slide is available on the Cornerstone Articulating, Milestone Full-Function, and the Gemstone Swivel-Tilt series. The operation of adjusting the chair control is the same as the regular chair. The seat slide (Drifter) mechanism is operated as follows:

TO CHANGE POSITION OF THE SEAT:
While seated in the chair, pull out on lever A beneath seat on left side of chair. With feet flat on floor, move your body forward or rearward to move the seat only. When seat is in proper position, release the lever. Gently move your body until you hear a click. This indicates the slide is locked in place.





SYNCHRONIZED CONTROL

Models: 1018, 1028, 1048, 1058

Synchronized Control

SEAT HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT:
To raise, pull up on lever A and lift your weight, release lever at desired height.
To lower, remain seated and pull up on lever A. Release at desired height.

TILT TENSION ADJUSTMENT:
Turn tension hand wheel C clockwise to increase tilt tension. Turn counter-clockwise to decrease tension.

TILT LOCK ADJUSTMENT:
To lock seat/back at any point in synchronized tilting range, turn lever B upward. Seat/back tilt is locked.
To release, turn lever B downward, tilt rearward and the lock is released. Chair will tilt. The chair will not release until tilted rearward.





KNEE-TILT CONTROL

Models: 327, 329, 337, 339, 347, 349, 357, 359, 627, 347, 1127, 1137, 1147, 1157

Knee-Tilt Control

SEAT HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT:
To raise, pull up on lever C and lift your weight, release lever at desired height.
To lower, remain seated and pull up on lever C. Release at desired height.

SEAT DEPTH ADJUSTMENT:
Turn hand wheel B counterclockwise to loosen. Slide back to desired position. Turn hand wheel clockwise to tighten.

TILT TENSION ADJUSTMENT:
Turn tension hand wheel A clockwise to increase tilt tension. Turn counter-clockwise to decrease tension.

TILT LOCK ADJUSTMENT:
Pull lever C out to unlock seat tilt. Push lever C in to lock chair in upright working position. This adjustment should be made while leaning forward in the chair.





ARTICULATING (2 PADDLE) CONTROL

Articulating Control

SEAT HEIGHT AJUSTMENT:
To raise, pull up on lever B and lift your weight. Release lever at desired height.
To lower, remain seated and pull up on lever B. Release lever at desired height.

BACK HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT:
Turn knob C counterclockwise to release back post. Slide back up or down to desired position. Lock by turning knob C clockwise

TILT ANGLE ADJUSTMENTS:
The seat and the back may be locked at any angle within the tilt range or they may be released to follow the movement of the body.
To adjust seat/back tilt – lift lever A. This will unlock both the seat and the back.
By leaving the lever in the up position, the seat and back will follow the body in a free-float motion.
By moving your body to the desired position and pushing down on lever A, the seat and back will lock in place.





ARTICULATING (3 PADDLE) CONTROL

SEAT HEIGHT AJUSTMENT:
To raise, pull up on lever B and lift your weight. Release lever at desired height.
To lower, remain seated and pull up on lever B. Release lever at desired height.

Turn knob C counterclockwise to release back post. Slide back up or down to desired position. Lock by turning knob C clockwise

SEAT HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT:
To raise, pull up on lever C and lift your weight. Release lever at desired height.
To lower, remain seated and pull up on lever C. Release lever at desired height.

SEAT DEPTH ADJUSTMENT:
Turn hand wheel B counterclockwise to loosen and slide the back to the desired position. Turn the hand wheel clockwise to tighten.

BACK HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT: Models: 111, 121, 171, 181
Turn hand wheel D counterclockwise to loosen, slide back to desired height and turn hand wheel clockwise to lock in place.





SPRING-BACK CONTROL

Models: 113, 123, 173, 183, 143, 153, 523, 213, 223, 233, 823

Spring-Back Control

SEAT HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT:
To raise, pull up on lever C and lift your weight. Release lever at desired height.
To lower, remain seated and pull up on lever C. Release lever at desired height.

SEAT DEPTH ADJUSTMENT:
Turn hand wheel B counterclockwise to loosen and slide the back to the desired position. Turn the hand wheel clockwise to tighten.

SPRING BACK TENSION ADJUSTMENT:
Turn knob A clockwise to increase tension and counterclockwise to decrease tension.
